Lithium-ion-polymer ( LiPo ) packs are the successors to the well-known lithium-ion ( LiIon ) packs. The main advantage of LiPo batteries is undoubtedly the capacity-to-size ratio. They are very small in size while maintaining a very high current capacity, which allows you to choose the right pack for virtually any AEG replica. They have no memory effect. In order to keep LiPo batteries in good condition, they should be balanced during charging using a service plug, which most LiPo packs have ( a good LiPo charger has a built-in balancer ).
