Lately the historical airsoft has become more popular and reenacting players try to make their equipment as historically accurate as possible. The historic reenacting market is huge as of today. Many World War II firearms became legendary, their replicas becoming not only tools for airsoft but also a collectioner”s items – items of desire and worship. This niche is successfully filled by the RedWolf Custom and it”s limited edition MG34 machine gun replica.

MG34 was used in vast numbers on all fronts and by all armed forces of the Nazi Germany. It”s versatility made it a perfect weapon in roles of fire support gun, an anti-aircraft gun on tripod and as coaxial tank machine gun. It was the most popular WWII machine gun, being produced from 1936 to as late as 1945.

Enough of historical trivia, let”s get to the most interesting part: the replica and it”s design. A replica like the RedWolf Custom”s one is nowhere to be found. Everything in it was neatly designed and manufactured using steel, wood and aluminum to make it look as a real deal. It is made in exact 1:1 scale, has it”s real counterpart dimensions and similar weight – this replica will make an impression and is worth of checking it out in person.

The box maybe isn”t effective and it is hard to imagine that inside it holds a MG34 monster, but when taking time to inspect it becomes clear that the replica is shipped in four parts and needs assembly. It”s as easy as it gets and no tools are required. The replica is divided to body, stock, magazine and bipod. Thanks to the user friendly manual the replica is ready for use in no time.

The MG34 outer barrel makes great impression. Solid, sturdy piece of metal – made from aluminum using CNC technology – was additionally brushed as to make it look like steel, which was made with 100% success. The magazine, bipod and part of the body did not needed such treatment because they were made from high quality steel. The stock was made from natural, walnut painted wood – exactly like in real MG34.

The replica is powered by a non-standard gearbox, designed specially for it. It has 7mm bearings and unique motor, likewise designed especially for the replica. The design was perfectly fitted and tested by the RedWolf Custom professionals. The set includes dedicated 11,1V 1300mAh 20C Li-Po accumulator with Large Deans (T-Connect) type connector. The accumulator was designed to fit perfectly under the top cover without any cables or other accessories which would interfere with the stunning visuals of the replica.

The replica is fed from electric drum magazine. The magazine itself is exact replica of the real one. It is made of steel and has a transport strap. Magazine needs 9V battery (not included) to operate. Magazine”s wind-up system can be engaged by two ways: either by pressing button on the magazine or by being synchronized with the replicas trigger. Attaching the magazine to the replica may seem difficult at first but thanks to aforementioned manual it can be done in just a few moments. The separate spare magazines were announced by RedWolf to be sold in near future.

Let”s cut to the chase – how does it shoot? It shoots just perfect. 20 rounds per second makes this replica exactly what it is supposed to be – a lethal weapon, suppressing the enemy with it”s massive firepower. The accuracy is not the priority as it is not a marksman rifle – it is meant to cover the enemy in massive storm of bullets. The replica”s look alone commands respect.

The end result makes terrifying impression. Every single element was accurately restored during produciotn process – there are no signs of slopy work in this design. You won”t find a better looking MG34 replica. This is what WWII enthusiasts crave for!

THIS GUN IS REFURBISHED

The gun is unused and fully operational, though it does carry minor signs of use, as seen on the photos, resulting from the gun being used as an exposition during military fairs. The set also includes a printed manual from a PDF file provided by the manufacturer (RedWolf Custom) instead of the original manual. The gun is sold in a non-original packaging.

The original battery pack has been exchanged for a Redox LiPo battery pack, perfectly fitted for the gun.
