Description
SAI 2011 DS 5.1 (Aluminum/CO2) Pistol Replica
2011 DS pistol replica is a special replica that
was made in cooperation of EMG – a company that creates custom replicas
and Salient Arms International – a manufacturer of USA-style
firearms. The replica is based on the proven construction dating to 1911.
Almost the entire replica was made of aluminum, only the pistol grip
panels were made of rough and grip-improving polymer. Excellent
alignment and quality of implemented materials guarantee exceptional experience
when firing the replica as well as seamless and precise operation.Â
The metal slide and receiver feature original manufacturer
markings – Salient Arms Internationalâ„¢. The replica is equipped with a
double-sided, winged safety that locks the trigger mechanism and prevents
accidental firing. The access to the safety is very simple both for left- and
right-handed people – the mechanism lever is within the range of a thumb. This
model also boasts a functional, rear, pressure safety that forces upon the user
a correct grip in order to fire. The custom trigger and hammer provide
the replica with an interesting, eye-catching appearance. Eye-captivating are
also external barrel elements that were painted in golden color.
The pistol features a powerful blow-back system
that imitates the experience of firing a live firearm. Similarly
to the live firearm, once the last BB has been fired, the slide remains locked
in the rear position. Under the barrel is located a 22 mm RIS /
Picatinny mounting rail, which enables the attachment of a variety of
accessories to the replica, such as tactical flashlights or laser sights. The
top of the slide features also a fiber optic front sight and a custom rear
sight.Â
